What do we collect?
When you register an account on Kindle Ranker, we store the following information:
- Email you provided during signup
- Session cookie for maintaining your session
- IP address
- Register date
- Last login date
- Referrer URL
When you subscribe to our paid services, Paypal shares with us your name and address as required by international laws. We do not store this information on our systems and only access it through Paypal for accounting purposes.
Note: Some advertisers and metrics tools we host on our website (e.g. Google Adsense & Analytics) may collect more information about your behavior on Kindle Ranker. We do not have access to such information. We only get a broad reporting about users activity in general (number of visits, number of clicks, percentage of visits from each country, etc.)
HTTPS is activated on all pages of the website. Your password is salted and stored using SHA-256 algorithm. We use an external hosting provider with Two factor authentication and automatic backups. We do not handle payment and credit card data. This is done through Paypal exclusively.
Despite all these measures, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. That's why, we designed this platform in such a way as to require minimum information about the end user. The only sensitive information we collect is your email.

Kindle Ranker may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website. We hash the IP address using a one way function and associte it to the page that was visited. We do not disclose the data to any third party and simply use it to replay search queries to debug the website. We keep raw web server logs for a period of 30 days before deleting them.
