Ramanujan pi and the number 99. Ramanujan pi is 9801/ 1103 x (2 root 2) and 9801 is 99 squared. The evidence already presented in the series more than suggests that this system is ancient and was used to design the Great Giza Pyramid. At Stonehenge it is more than likely that the unit of measure used was 0.99 of one imperial foot making the square foot 0.99 x 0.99 being 0.9801 square imperial feet and x 1000 just happens to be Ramanujan's numerator of real Pi. Linear Regression & CorrelationIf you are looking for a short beginners guide packed with visual examples, this book is for you.Linear Regression is a way of simplifying a group of data into a single equation.  For instance, we all know Moore’s law: that the number of transistors on a computer chip doubles every two years. This law was derived by using regression analysis to simplify the progress of dozens of computer manufacturers over the course of decades into a single equation.   Correlation is a way of calculating how much two sets of numbers change together.  In addition to being part of the regression analysis, correlation is heavily used in investment industries, for instance, to determine if two stocks are likely to change value together or independently.This book goes through how to calculate correlation and linear regression and works through multiple examples of how to do it.  Just as importantly, this book is loaded with visual examples of what correlation is and how to use linear regression. This book doesn't assume that you have prior in-depth knowledge of statistics or that you regularly use an advanced statistics software package.  If you know what an average is and can use Excel, this book will build the rest of the knowledge, and do so in an intuitive way. This Is Not A TextbookThe reason I wrote this book is that there are not a lot of good examples out there of how to do multiple regression, which is regression analysis between more than two variables.  I checked half a dozen different sources, including several textbooks, on how to do multiple regression. In each case, the source had a lot of information; in some cases dozens of pages; on how to do the data preparation,  how to interpret results, and potential problems to watch out for, but to actually do the multiple regression calculation, they all said to use a software package, like Matlab or Minitab.To put it a different way, those sources are a lot like a driver’s education class teaching you about setting the mirrors, adjusting the seat, and fastening the safety belt - but just when you think you are finally ready to actually start the car and put it in gear, they tell you to take the bus.This book is different. Many think, but when converting units (for example, converting from cm to inches), do you care about the 3rd and 4th decimal place? I just want to know that 2.5 cm is roughly 1 inch rather than 2.5 cm being 0.984252 inch. You no longer have to enter or calculate numbers to convert units. With this you can convert to the units you want just by looking at the chart. Length, Area, Volume, Weight, Speed, Power, Force, Energy, Pressure, Temperature, Time can be converted. This book shows how the Harris and Stockdale Megalithic Foot works with Alexander Thom's Megalithic Yard and gives a value for root five that works perfectly at Carnac in France to link the work of Crowhurst to Michell's Canon of Ancient Measure. The value is 42500 / 19008 and this is a Thom system numerator and an Imperial system denominator. 19008 / 5280 = 3.6. Thom's system works with root 3 as 1.7333r and the imperial works with 99/70 as used by Crowhurst at Carnac. In ths book the suggested method for the calculation of Pi is iterative using succesive stages to eventually hit the very closest approximation to real Pi. The same approach is suggested for square roots. {iterative - repetition of a mathematical or computational procedure applied to the result of a previous application, typically as a means of obtaining successively closer approximations to the solution of a problem.) On page 47 of his first book Thom gives the following table of diameters in megalithic yards.
